Summa ColorControl “Print & Cut” edition Summa DC3 comes complete with software for printing and cutting EPS files that have been created in virtually any PC or Mac design program. ColorControl™ pc, our ® blazing-fast PostScript 3 compatible RIP software also includes complete contour cutting controls. It automatically interprets spot colour information in your files, and lets you chose to either print the spot colour, or cut it as an outline object. So, by simply assigning a unique spot colour to your cut lines, you can quickly and easily create print-and-cut graphics in virtually any design software.

The Summa DC3 outputs customer ready prints directly on vinyl, * with no need to laminate . With one single machine, the DC3 can also contour cut your design. It saves time, money and turnover time.

Thermal Transfer Printing

As Thermal Transfer output dries instantaneously, it is easy to print different colours on top of each other. The DC3’ unique ColorMask feature applies this technique to print on coloured substrates. First a white layer is printed, followed by the full colour image on top. Through a derived technique, VisionPrint, the DC3 window graphics feature, produces vivid see-through-graphics on regular clear vinyl. The DC3 also offers a wide range of spot colours, including white and glossy metallic Gold and Silver. The DC3’s very sharp dots even make it possible to print characters smaller than one millimetre.
