What is a Craft ROBO
The Craft ROBO is a new low cost vinyl cutter and card cutter. With its optical sensor it allows drawings, printed using conventional ink-jet or laser printers, to be transferred to the Craft ROBO  for cutting.

What does it do?
Craft Robo can be used for cutting out Vinyl lettering for Signs and shapes, also allowing the operator  to use practically any normal pen to  draw text and shapes onto paper with amazing accuracy. Use the half-cut (kiss-cut) function to cut around stickers and decals on vinyl while leaving them attached to the backing sheet. Use the cut-through function to cut out designs on paper or card.

What can I do with a Craft ROBO
The Craft ROBO can be used to cut a wide range of materials including: Coloured Vinyl, Card, Printable Vinyl, Frosted ("Etched Glass") Vinyl, Iron-On Coloured Vinyl, Iron-on Flock, Iron-On Printable Vinyl, Label Paper, Ceramic on Transfers and Plotter Paper.

For such a small machine the Craft ROBO packs a real punch and has the power to cut and score card. This enables you to produce small scale pieces of cardboard engineering, modeling, packaging, etc. The Craft ROBO also has an optical sensor, this basically means you can print an image on card using a conventional printer then cutting around the image using the Craft ROBO

What about software?

Signmaster Offers ROBO MASTER software is editing/output software that enables the creation of outline data consisting of simple objects and text, and the output of the created data to the Craft ROBO. Furthermore, it supports convenient functions that enable the capturing of image data into the software and the automatic creation of registration marks for Print & Cut applications.

How does Print and Cut work?
The software sets the correct page layout and prints crop marks automatically. Design your graphics, drawing the cut path on a separate layer. Print your graphics, minus the cut path, on a colour inkjet or laser printer, and then feed the printed material into the Craft ROBO,  the optical sensor then finds the crop marks and Craft ROBO will cut around your design..
