Q: What’s the printer?
A: It’s the incredibly successful Mimaki JV3-160S full solvent inkjet. Since its launch at the beginning of the year, the JV3 has become the benchmark for quality, speed, value and ease of use. The printer uses three year + outdoor durable solvent inks, yet is easy to maintain and operate, with a very low running and maintenance cost. Designed from the ground up, it’s a complete solution from Mimaki - not a conversion of an “off the shelf” printer with third party inks. Therefore, it comes with a full 12 month Mimaki backed warranty, that includes the print heads.
Q: And the cutter?
A: The new Mimaki CG-130FX sports a photo-electric eye for automatic registration of pre-printed vinyl graphics. It’s 1.3m wide and Mimaki cutters have a great reputation for consistency and robust build quality - a real production work horse!
Some users don't want eco-solvent inks, equally some users don't want to use coated substrates, and some users are also fully aware that true production versatility onto the broadest range of low-cost uncoated media requires the use of active solvent inks.
Under the skin of a Uniform printer we carry out a number of fundamental mechanical modifications that allow for increased reliability, enhanced performance, and most importantly, facilitates the use of our own active solvent inks that give improved durability, with instant ink drying, on the widest possible range of substrates.

JV3 250SP - The Mimaki CG-FX range is set to take the cutting world by storm. With a USB port as standard, high speed data transmission is offered to speed up large cut jobs. A choice of widths includes the 75cm, 130cm and 160cm models - the latter perfectly suited to accompanying the Mimaki JV3 250SP -160SP solvent printer. Offering by far and away the highest performance to affordability ratio in its class the CG-FX sports a new head with advanced features and user friendly operation. With up to four point mark detection, and continual registration checking, long jobs can be cut as accurately as one offs.
