Mimaki’s Nozzle Check Unit (NCU) and Nozzle Recovery System (NRS) are a standard function on many Mimaki printers and printer/cutters that you can switch on or off. The NCU automatically checks nozzles and cleans them if required and the NRS substitutes defective nozzles giving uninterrupted operation

Variable Dot Technology
Variable Dot Technology enables the printer to print in 3 different dot sizes (small, medium and large) to create high quality images with smooth gradations. Variable Dot Printing uses smaller drops to produce smoother gradations and bigger drops create uniform solids. By producing dots in three different sizes, smooth high resolution graphics are created without a grainy appearance, even at high speed and in low resolution mode, high quality printing is possible
Waveform Control Technology
With standard inkjet technology, drops can be fired irregularly and misshapen. Mimaki’s Waveform Control Technology utilises finely tuned frequencies for each ink’s specific gravity and viscosity to precisely shape and place individual drops, giving you confidence that your images are optimized even at lower resolutions.
