Advanced ECO-UV ink
Roland’s ECO-UV ink is specifically formulated for the Versa UV printers and can be used for indoor or outdoor applications including promotional products, giftware, awards, signage, industrial and consumer products, POP, small displays and packaging prototypes offering superior scratch and chemical resistance.
ECO-UV ink applied to outdoor applications lasts up to 2 years with clear ink and up to 6 months without clear ink.
Apply Texture Using Clear Ink
One of the best features of the LEJ-640 is its ability to use ECO-UV clear ink to create a wide range of special effects including stunning spot highlights. You can also apply textures to your creations and Roland has even included a Texture Library which features 72 ready-to-use textures that can be achieved by layering clear ink. You can also use the clear ink to design effects such as water droplets, faux leather, crocodile skin, Braille and embossed effects.

Large UV-LED lamps increase productivity while lowering costs
The LEJ-640 features the newest generation UV-LED lamps, designed to cure Roland ECO-UV inks. This state-of-the-art curing system is safe to use and requires little power to operate. Lamps last up to 10,000 hours. The LEJ-640 LED curing lamps automatically reposition themselves for optimum image quality in each print mode.
Advanced technology
A fully-automated, built-in sensor determines the proper print head height for each LEJ-640 job, accounting for the thickness of the media to be printed. This feature prevents head strikes and ensures reliable, high-quality printing up to 1440 x 1440 dpi across the widest range of substrates. Roland’s unique ink circulation system prevents white ink particles from settling for reduced waste and consistent print quality.
Roland Intelligent Pass Control
This system combines printer and software advancements that control dot placement between passes, ensuring smooth gradations, flawless solid colours and faster throughput with virtually no banding. That translates into increased productivity and exceptional image quality, even at higher print speeds.
OnSupport – Remote Production Partner
Remotely track your production on your computer, tablet or smart phone with Roland OnSupport. Alerts are sent when ink is low or a job is finished. Roland OnSupport users can also quickly download firmware updates and important product information
