Recommended Sign Tools for producing PVC Banners

Banner hemming tape

There are two types of tapes available. Both are good options and so it's only a matter of preference.  Double sided PET tape and Edge-It Tape

Eyelet Press

An eyelet press is a handheld tool that enables you to effortlessly add eyelets to your banners. These eyelets provide a secure way for your customers to hang their banners on fences and more. At Signmaster, we pride ourselves on offering only the highest quality products that we would use ourselves. Rest assured, each item is rigorously tested and approved. We have two presses available, an introduction level press HPX1 which is produced in the UK and a more robust one  the H-901 which would be used day in day out.

Eyelets

The eyelets make the holes in the PVC banner strong and more durable - without them the material would rip and become damaged. We sell self piercing brass eyelets which are available in 9mm and 11mm sizes. we sell the brass eyelets due to their strength and sustainability. You simply, pop the eyelets into the press, line up the banner material and pull down the handle. you can see this in action on our 'how to make a PVC banner' video below.

Knife

There are many knives available on our website but our favourite for hand cutting PVC banner material is the Olfa SVR - 1.  The OLFA SVR1 - 9mm Stainless steel Blade is ideal for professional sign makers. Made with a durable stainless steel body, it allows for precise cutting.

Ruler

The trimaro range will have what you need whether that's a hand held ruler ( we would recommend a 1.5 mtr ruler) this is a great size to start with when hand cutting, it's long enough to be quick but small enough to ensure you have enough control.
