Roland AG-640 Features
64" Latex Print & Cut
Bring printing and cutting together in one machine. The AG-640 combines 64" latex printing with integrated contour cutting, making it ideal for producing signage, stickers, decals, labels and a wide range of everyday graphics without always needing a separate cutting device.
High-Gamut 7-Colour Printing
Choose a CMYK, Orange, Red and White ink configuration with Optimiser for an expanded colour gamut. Orange and Red help improve reproduction across key colour areas, making the AG-640 particularly useful for vibrant graphics and recognised corporate colours.
Versatile White Ink
TA2 White ink opens up opportunities for printing onto clear, coloured and specialist media, including multi-layer applications. A zero-waste circulation system keeps White ready for use while helping to minimise maintenance requirements.
Detailed, Smooth Print Quality
Two new printheads and variable dot technology allow the AG-640 to produce precise fine detail, clean lines and smooth output. The thin TA2 ink layer also helps retain the original look and feel of the media underneath.
Speeds up to 18.5m²/h
Balance quality and productivity with a selection of print modes for different jobs. The AG-640 can achieve speeds of up to 18.5m²/h on generic vinyl in the documented high-speed modes.
Ready for Finishing
The AG-640 cures the ink during production, allowing printed graphics to move quickly into the next stage of the workflow. Roland's testing also supports immediate lamination, helping reduce waiting time between printing and finishing.
Broad Media Compatibility
Produce more than standard vinyl graphics. TA2 ink has been developed for compatibility across a broad selection of media, with Roland testing materials including vinyl, wallcoverings, paper, PET film, banners, canvas, backlit film and textiles.
Intelligent Media Saving
An improved media pull-back function helps minimise the blank space between jobs. Combined with continuous printing functionality in VersaWorks 7, this can help reduce unnecessary media use and keep production moving efficiently.
Improved Scratch Resistance
TA2 ink has been developed to provide improved scratch resistance compared with Roland's previous AP-640 latex platform, giving printed graphics greater durability during handling and finishing.
Simplified Maintenance
A new fabric-based wiper system is designed for straightforward replacement and reduced day-to-day maintenance. The machine also displays remaining wiper and cleaning liquid information on the main screen, making routine care easier to manage.
VersaWorks 7 & Roland DG Connect
The AG-640 comes with VersaWorks 7 and Roland DG Connect, bringing print management, workflow functionality and machine information together as part of the Roland production ecosystem.
One Machine, More Possibilities
From vehicle graphics and signage to window graphics, stickers, labels, wallcoverings and display work, the AG-640 combines the flexibility of latex with integrated Print & Cut, high-gamut colour and White ink capability in one production platform.
